Public consultations on the development of the 10-year National Children’s Education and Care Workforce Strategy (2021-30) are now open.
And the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) is encouraging anyone working in early childhood to:
- read the consultation document; and
- provide feedback through an online survey.
Feedback will support the development of the strategy to improve the supply, retention and quality of workers in the children’s education; and care sector, with the survey closing 31 May.

In related news, this week is the Early Childhood Education and Care National Workforce Census reference week (10-16 May), with CIS-approved services required to complete the census under Family Assistance Law.
Data for the census, including child attendance and workforce details, can be entered from 17 May.
