Registrations opening soon for NGA 2024

ALGA will host the 2024 National General Assembly (NGA), incorporating the Regional Cooperation and Development Forum, in Canberra from 2-4 July 2024.

This year’s NGA theme is “Building Community Trust”, centring on the critical importance of trust in governments, between governments, institutions, and citizens.

NGA 2024 sessions and special guest speakers will cover a range of engaging topics including politics and civic engagement, intergenerational equity, the impact of the built environment on social capital, and how to deliver effective community engagement in the face of distrust.

Registrations for NGA 2024 will open in late January, so keep visiting our website to secure your tickets and find out more.

In the meantime, councils are also invited to download and review the discussion paper containing essential information and outlining the criteria for submitting NGA motions this year.
