ALGA will announce in ALGA News this morning that Australian of the Year Rosie Batty will speak at this year's National General Assembly.
The NGA program is being finalised and further announcements on key note speakers will be made in coming weeks.
Registrations for the Assembly are open and early-bird discounts are currently in place.
The deadline for motions for the Assembly has been pushed out to 28 April to provide councils with additional time to lodge motions.
