Not long left for NGA early bird registrations

Don't miss the early bird registration discount for this year's National General Assembly of Local Government (NGA), which will be held from 17 to 20 June in Canberra. Early bird registrations are set to close on 4 May 2018.

The theme for this year's NGA is Australia's future: make it local, reflecting not just the wide scope and importance of local government, but its ability to influence and affect fundamental change and improvement at the community level.

The program for this year's NGA is extensive, with multiple streams of specialist presentations and a range of keynote speakers to inform and inspire. Delegates will hear from Virginia Haussegger AM – an Australian journalist, media commentator and television presenter – on the case of gender diversity on local government, as well as Bernard Salt AM, an author and columnist, on population and the policy imperative.

With the possibility of a federal election being called later this year or early next, the NGA will also provide delegates with the important opportunity to provide input into the fine-tuning of ALGA's election advocacy strategies.

If you haven’t already, take full advantage of the early bird discount and register your attendance on the ALGA website.
