Australia operates a dedicated Humanitarian Program that offers resettlement for refugees and others overseas who are in humanitarian need, and protection for people who arrive lawfully in Australia and engage Australia’s protection obligations.
Each year, the Australian Government seeks the views of the Australian public on the Humanitarian Program.
The Department of Home Affairs has released the Humanitarian Program 2018-19 discussion paper that outlines how the Humanitarian Program currently operates and provides information on its management and composition over previous years.
The Department invites all interested people and organisations to make a written submission putting forward their views on the composition of the 2018-19 Humanitarian Program.
Submissions should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by 25 May 2018.
