Banyule City Council to host 2018 Australian Age-friendly Cities Forum

Banyule City Council will be hosting the 2018 Australian Age-friendly Cities Forum on the 17th and 18th October in Greensborough, Victoria.

This event provides the chance to share experiences with like-minded people and learn from keynote speakers, presentations and activities that are planned.

This year there will be a live video link up to the World Health Organisation, Switzerland.

With the rapid ageing of the population worldwide, support for the active participation of older adults in their communities is imperative. More and more, cities are asked to create age-friendly communities where older people have the opportunities they need to stay healthy, live where their needs are met, move easily around the community and stay connected.
