$4.5m to shore up rural drought resilience networks

First-round applications for a share of $4.5 million being offered under the Networks to Build Drought Resilience program opened this week.

The program is part of the Commonwealth’s $5 billion Future Drought Fund and is intended to support the community organisations, networks, and infrastructure that help people and communities prepare for, and survive, drought.

The Networks to Build Drought Resilience program will be delivered by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR).

A second funding round is expected to open later in 2021.

Interested organisations are encouraged to apply directly to FRRR.  More information on the Future Drought Fund and the Networks to Build Drought Resilience program can be found here.
