Council input sought on walking and cycling research priorities

Councils are being invited to take part in a joint Monash University/RMIT project funded by VicHealth to identify research priorities to advance active transport in Australia.

University researchers are undertaking two related surveys, and potential respondents may elect to contribute to one or both surveys.

The objective of the first survey (Phase 1) is to develop a list of critical questions that need to be addressed to advance active transport in Australia.

Respondents will be asked demographic questions and to list the three most critical questions that they believe need to be addressed. The first survey will take about five minutes to complete.

The object of the second survey (Phase 2) is to rank the synthesised list of questions to develop a final prioritised list of questions that need to be addressed to advance active transport in Australia.

The survey closes on 14 October, with the research team then contacting those respondents who wish to participate in Phase 2.
