The Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency (ASEA) is inviting councils to participate in National Asbestos Awareness Week (NAAW) 2022 during 21-27 November.
NAAW 2022 reminds Australians to Think Twice About Asbestos and encourages home occupiers and tradespeople to ‘do things the right way’ by ensuring the proper and lawful disposal of asbestos.
This is the official government national asbestos awareness campaign, endorsed and supported by the Australian Government, and all state and territory governments.
A comprehensive and editable campaign pack is available and contains a range of useful councils can use to promote NAAW.
During NAAW 2022, there are three simple actions councils can take to make an impact:
- Brand these materials with your logo using the supplied design files
- Use the corporate assets during NAAW
- Direct people to your state or territory’s asbestos information website
