An independent panel of people connected to and/or living and working in the Basin has been invited to undertake an assessment of social and economic conditions in Basin communities on behalf of The Hon. David Littleproud MP, Minister for Water Resources, Drought, Rural Finance, Natural Disaster and Emergency Management.
The Panel will enable Murray-Darling Basin communities to have a stronger voice in the discussion of water reform issues and opportunities and bring the social and economic experience of those Basin communities into clear view. Identify the diversity of actions that can assist Basin communities in achieving prosperous, resilient and sustainable futures, and identify how government can support communities in achieving these.
